§ Coordinators:
· Responsibilities include, creating rosters, coordinating/delegating nets being set up and broken down. This is based on who are the first and last teams to play on the field. Fielding any roster questions, or practice questions.
· Importance: it is important to have a coordinator volunteering that is a parent in the age group and is involved in the specific division, rather than have someone outside who is not present at the games or practices to understand and coordinate the necessary actions. You do not have to be a coach to volunteer for coordinator.
· Coordinators will receive Smithtown Slammers Capelli spring warm up top.
§ Coaches and Assistant Coaches
· Responsibilities will be to communicate schedules to your team for both games and practices. Manage games per the game rules that will discussed at the coaches meeting. Forward any information to your team from the coordinator or league official.
· Importance: Need coach to create fun environment during games. Manage substitutions. It is important to have a coach and assistant coach because in many cases the team is split onto two fields and need a coach to manage time, substitution and the game. You can also volunteer for coordinator and be a coach or assistant coach.
· Coaches and Assistant Coaches will receive various Smithtown Slammer coach apparel.
