Coordinator Position:
· Responsibilities include, creating rosters, coordinating/delegating nets being set up and broken down. This is based on who are the first and last teams to play on the field. Fielding any roster questions, or practice questions.
· Importance: it is important to have a coordinator volunteering that is a parent in the age group and is involved in the specific division to be someone who is aware of the needs of each division. You do not have to be a coach to volunteer for coordinator.
· Coordinators will receive Smithtown Slammers Capelli spring warm up top.
Coaches and Assistant Coaches:
· Responsibilities will be to communicate schedules to your team for both games and practices. Manage games per the game rules that will be discussed at the coaches meeting. Forward any information to your team from the coordinator or league official.
· Importance: Need coach to create fun environment during games. Manage substitutions so that each child receives a minimum of half a game playing time. It is important to have a coach and assistant coach because in many cases the team is split onto two fields and we need a coach to manage time, substitution and the game. You can also volunteer for coordinator and be a coach or assistant coach.
